The Modern Forest was founded on the idea of combining plants and art together. Both are my true passions in life and the blossom of my small business, The Modern Forest SF. 

My love for plants started with my mother, my childhood home filled with plants, cacti, orchids, and even produce of her own. Her love for plants was passed on to me and I myself started my own collection of plants in my tiny apartment. With each plant, I realized that plants themselves were something that you could transform into art that you can use to spruce up any area all while improving the air quality and mood.

With Kokedamas I was able to unify both my passions truly. So whether you are intrigued with the world of kokedamas or simply starting or enhancing your modern forest, I invite you to grow with us and get inspired.
